Semester ticket basic ("Semesterticket – Basiskarte")
The Basic ticket („Basiskarte”) is available for all students of FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg,TH Nürnberg, Evangelische Hochschule Nürnberg, and Hochschule für Musik. The Basic ticket is included in the student union fee.
- One person
- Valid around the clock on weekends and public holidays
- Valid Mo.-Thur. from 6 p.m., Fri. from 5 p.m. to 6 a.m. of the following day
- Valid for the entire semester (6 months)
- Valid on public transport throughout the VGN area (2nd class)
- 1 bicycle only in tariff zones 100, 200, 300, 400 without local rail passenger transport (S-Bahn, RE, RB)
Please note:
- Paid by all students.
- Only valid with an official photo ID.
- During registration you can also use the address of the university instead of your private address.

Optional: Order the Semester ticket additional at the same time and receive an upgrade to the Deutschlandticket
- Valid 24/7 with the Semester ticket additional
- Valid on all public transports throughout the VGN area mobile until the end of April - from May onwards throughout Germany with the Deutschlandticket
- Valid for the entire summer semester 2023
- Costs a one-time fee of €222 (incl. upgrade to the Deutschlandticket)
- Only available as mobile ticket
In summer semester 2023 the Semester ticket additional ("Semesterticket – Zusatzkarte") is only available via App „VGN Fahrplan & Tickets “ or “NürnbergMOBIL”!
